# ButtPlugStuhl · BPS—01

## Campaign pack

**Status:** Fictional industrial-design satire. Concept engineering only; no working product, certification, real-world performance validation, price, checkout, or purchase offer. The campaign collects interest in the creative project only.

**Audience language:** English. **Website voice toggle:** `Design` / `Unreasonable`.

**Core line:** A new point of view. **Unreasonable hero:** Finally. A pointless breakthrough.

**Delivered assets:** Twelve PNG product images at 1448 × 1086 pixels (4:3), listed below. The three films remain written concepts. The production website records interest; email delivery is not enabled.

**Product shorthand:** BPS—01. Use the full fictional name, **ButtPlugStuhl**, in the introduction, project information, and final film cards. Use BPS—01 for product captions and small labels.

The product image anchors every execution: a clear scalloped resin seat, chrome pedestal, circular chrome base, and a central polished chrome teardrop insert. Frame it as an eccentric furniture object. The visual joke comes from the seriousness of its presentation.

Client-supplied tonal reference: [“Cinco Product Commercials | Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! | adult swim”](https://youtu.be/orw5Sqn8cY4). The page title was accessible; the video’s audiovisual content was not assessed for this pack. Copy, scripts, art direction, and graphic identity below are original.

## 1. Campaign strategy

Lead with disciplined product photography, spare typography, restrained narration, and precise-looking concept annotations. Give visitors a deliberate second interpretation through the `Unreasonable` toggle: the same object and facts acquire proudly useless explanations.

The first impression can feel like a credible furniture launch while the fiction is legible immediately. Put **“A fictional design study”** beside the hero CTA, on each film endcard, and in a readable footer on social exports. The toggle changes tone; it never removes that disclosure or changes specifications into verified claims.

**Creative premise:** A meticulously presented answer to a question the furniture industry never asked.

**Reason to engage:** Enjoy the craft, discover the joke, compare the two voices, and follow the next chapter of the concept.

**Primary audience:** International readers interested in industrial design, experimental furniture, architecture, visual culture, and dry comedy. Address an adult design audience through neutral object photography and language.

**Channels and roles:**

| Channel | Role | Recommended content |
|---|---|---|
| Project website | Canonical story and interest collection | Hero, finish chooser, voice toggle, concept specifications, film concepts, interest form |
| Instagram | Visual discovery and saves | Delivered 4:3 studio/interior images and finish carousels; future 4:5 layouts and 9:16 motion adaptations |
| YouTube / Shorts | Complete comedic timing | 30-second concept films and the 15-second portability gag once produced |
| TikTok | Deadpan object demonstrations | Vertical edits with readable captions and long enough pauses for the joke |
| LinkedIn | Design-process context | Original sketches, material direction, and fictional engineering commentary |
| Design newsletter, future option | Follow-through if email delivery is introduced later | Draft making-of note and newly released concept assets; current website sends no email |

Social and newsletter entries are proposed distribution plans. Publication, outreach, and email delivery are separate actions. The existing website form stores email, finish, and perspective, and returns a deletion link.

## 2. Voice system and website copy

The hero headlines below match the website. Supporting entries are campaign copy drafts; interest-form copy reflects the implemented storage and deletion behaviour.

**Design:** Precise, calm, material-led. Short sentences. Discuss appearance and design intentions. Avoid ergonomic, medical, hygiene, safety, or performance promises.

**Unreasonable:** A completely straight face. Treat trivial choices as institutional achievements. Keep the object elegant and the explanations increasingly futile. Avoid sexual jokes and intimate-use descriptions.

| Placement | Design | Unreasonable |
|---|---|---|
| Eyebrow | BPS—01 · Experimental furniture | BPS—01 · A completed question |
| Hero headline | A new point of view. | Finally. A pointless breakthrough. |
| Hero body | A scalloped resin seat. A chrome pedestal. One decisive detail. ButtPlugStuhl is a fictional furniture study in transparency, reflection, and questionable priorities. | We identified a gap in furniture. Then we placed something in the middle of it. ButtPlugStuhl is a fictional design study with unusually firm opinions. |
| Hero CTA | Follow the concept | Receive further explanations |
| CTA disclosure, both modes | A fictional design study. Register interest in the project. | A fictional design study. Register interest in the project. |
| Form section title | A study in clarity. | Transparency, except about why. |
| Form section body | The scalloped resin silhouette catches the light. A polished chrome centre introduces a deliberate interruption. Every image explores the relationship between the two. | The edge has been scalloped to increase the number of edges available for discussion. The centre has been reserved for the centrepiece. |
| Finish section title | Four ways to hold the light. | Four colours. One unresolved issue. |
| Finish section body | Clear, Smoke, Cobalt, and Amber explore the same form through four translucent material concepts. | Clear for transparency. Smoke for ambiguity. Cobalt for confidence. Amber for decisions made at sunset. |
| Interior section title | An object in conversation with a room. | Every room needs a follow-up question. |
| Interior section body | A quiet pedestal and circular base give the unusual seat a composed architectural setting. | Place it where a conversation would otherwise end. |
| Alpine section title | A change of setting. | Designed to go outside the brief. |
| Alpine section body | The alpine series imagines the object beyond the interior, exploring the contrast between reflective surfaces and open landscape. | After extensive consideration, the chair has been shown a mountain. |
| Engineering section title | Dimensions of an idea. | Numbers have been added. |
| Engineering section body | Proposed dimensions and modules make the design fiction tangible. They are concept targets, with no functional prototype or performance validation. | The numbers are precise. The product remains fictional. This has considerably simplified testing. |
| Module label | Sealed cartridge concept | The sealed department |
| Module body | A fictional closed-loop sanitation module is represented as a sealed removable cartridge. This is an exterior design proposition only; no operating mechanism or validated outcome is claimed. | A fictional closed-loop sanitation module, contained within a sealed cartridge. All further questions have also been placed inside. |
| Interest heading | Register your interest. | Place your interest on record. |
| Interest body | Save your email, preferred finish, and perspective with the project. You’ll receive a deletion link on confirmation. No emails are sent. | File an email, a finish, and a point of view. A deletion link is provided on confirmation. The project currently maintains a dignified email silence. |
| Form submit | Register interest | Make it official |
| Confirmed new-entry state | Your interest is saved. Keep this link to delete your record. | Your interest has been formally noticed. Keep this link to revoke the notice. |
| Duplicate-entry state | Your interest is already registered. Your existing preferences are unchanged. | Your interest was already on file. Its original opinions remain intact. |
| Deletion link | Delete my interest record | Withdraw my interest |
| Global footer, both modes | ButtPlugStuhl / BPS—01 is fictional industrial-design satire. Concept engineering; no working product or validated performance. | ButtPlugStuhl / BPS—01 is fictional industrial-design satire. Concept engineering; no working product or validated performance. |

**Implemented form behaviour:** The production form persists email, finish, and perspective and returns a deletion link. Duplicate submissions leave the existing record and its preferences unchanged. Confirmation describes storage only; no welcome message, confirmation email, newsletter, or other email is sent. Preserve the deletion link in the confirmation experience so the visitor can remove their record.

## 3. Delivered twelve-image shot matrix

The delivered set uses the scalloped seat, chrome teardrop detail, pedestal, and circular base across four finish concepts and three environments. The camera treatment varies deliberately: Clear is the studio hero, Smoke is a side elevation, Cobalt uses an overhead oblique view, and Amber is a close detail. The interiors use modern concrete-and-glass residences; the alpine series uses rocky terraces. Masters contain product imagery without embedded copy. Add headlines and a readable fiction disclosure in any future social layout.

**Delivered master framing:** All twelve PNGs are **1448 × 1086 pixels, 4:3 landscape**. The Amber studio image intentionally crops to the seat and central chrome detail; it is not a whole-object hero. Preserve the supplied compositions. Any 4:5, 16:9, or 9:16 layout is a future derivative, requiring its own crop or composition review. A vertical layout must not imply that the delivered Amber detail contains a full pedestal and base.

| ID | Finish / scene | Delivered composition | Design headline draft | Unreasonable headline draft | Delivered filename |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 01 | Clear / Studio | Cool-white studio sweep; whole object in three-quarter view, with transparent scallops, pedestal, and full circular base visible. | Form, in full view. | We made the material less visible. | `clear-studio.png` |
| 02 | Clear / Interior | Clear finish in a modern concrete-and-glass residence; architectural surroundings frame the product. | Clarity enters the room. | A transparent addition to a complicated room. | `clear-interior.png` |
| 03 | Clear / Alpine | Clear finish on a broad rocky alpine terrace, with mountain context. | A wider perspective. | The mountain has been consulted. | `clear-alpine.png` |
| 04 | Smoke / Studio | Cool-white studio sweep; side elevation at seat height. The pale smoke seat reads edge-on above the complete pedestal and base. | A quieter transparency. | Now with reduced visibility into the decision. | `smoke-studio.png` |
| 05 | Smoke / Interior | Smoke finish in a modern concrete-and-glass residence; cool architecture complements the restrained tint. | Presence, softly stated. | A meeting has been scheduled with the room. | `smoke-interior.png` |
| 06 | Smoke / Alpine | Smoke finish on a rocky alpine terrace with distant mountain ridges. | Reflection in open space. | Outdoor thinking. Indoor object. | `smoke-alpine.png` |
| 07 | Cobalt / Studio | Cool-white studio sweep; overhead oblique view emphasizes the blue scalloped seat outline. Chrome pedestal and circular base remain visible below. | Colour with depth. | Confidence has been specified in blue. | `cobalt-studio.png` |
| 08 | Cobalt / Interior | Cobalt finish in a modern concrete-and-glass residence; saturated translucent blue supplies the colour accent. | One deliberate accent. | The room has a new point to make. | `cobalt-interior.png` |
| 09 | Cobalt / Alpine | Cobalt finish on a rocky alpine terrace, contrasting with stone and mountain surroundings. | Blue, beyond the room. | The landscape has received a blue annotation. | `cobalt-alpine.png` |
| 10 | Amber / Studio | Close-up of the amber seat, scalloped resin edge, and central chrome detail against white. The pedestal is cropped and the base is outside the frame. | Warmth, held in form. | Sunset, available during office hours. | `amber-studio.png` |
| 11 | Amber / Interior | Amber finish in a modern concrete-and-glass residence; warm translucent resin against austere architecture. | A warmer point of view. | The furniture committee has warmed to the idea. | `amber-interior.png` |
| 12 | Amber / Alpine | Amber finish on a rocky alpine terrace; warm resin contrasts with the alpine surroundings. | A final light study. | We brought the mountains a warmer opinion. | `amber-alpine.png` |

**Image directory:** `/Users/simonhauser/Schabernack/BPS-assets/images`. Source prompts and generation paths are recorded in `prompts.json` in the same directory.

All alpine scenes are visual staging concepts. They do not establish weather resistance, stability, carrying performance, or outdoor suitability.

## 4. Three fully timed video concepts

**Deliverable status:** Scripts and production concepts only. No footage or finished videos are supplied by this document. The 16:9 and 9:16 notes below describe future video production, not the delivered 4:3 stills. Any motion, matched framing, additional views, voiceover, sound, and endcards require production. No actor sits on, wears, or uses the object.

### Film 01 — “A Point of View” · 30 seconds · Design

**Purpose:** Prestige-led introduction. **Delivery:** Warm, neutral English narrator, approximately 110–120 words per minute within the indicated speech windows. Small readable `FICTIONAL DESIGN STUDY` label throughout.

| Time | Picture and motion | Complete voiceover / silence | Sound and on-screen copy |
|---|---|---|---|
| 00:00–00:04 | Black resolves into a close view of the Clear resin scallops. A soft light travels across the edge. | 00:00–00:01 silence; 00:01–00:03.5: “Every object has a viewpoint.” | One low piano note; soft room tone. Copy: `BPS—01`. |
| 00:04–00:09 | Slow lateral movement over the chrome teardrop insert, then a restrained focus shift to the rim. | “Some make that point a little more clearly.” | Sustained warm tone; no suggestive sound. Copy: `Transparency. Reflection. Form.` |
| 00:09–00:14 | Cut across the four studio treatments: Clear whole-object hero, Smoke side elevation, Cobalt overhead oblique, Amber seat detail. Each finish receives roughly one second after the first cut. | “Four translucent finishes. One unmistakable silhouette.” | Four light percussive ticks aligned to finish changes. Display one finish name at a time. |
| 00:14–00:19 | Full object in a modern concrete-and-glass residence. A very slow pullback reveals the circular base and empty room. | “A study in materials, proportion, and priorities.” | Piano expands to a two-note interval. Copy: `A new point of view.` |
| 00:19–00:24 | Match cut to the same framing on a broad alpine terrace; a slow cloud shadow crosses the background. | “A fictional design, taken somewhere unexpected.” | Subtle mountain wind joins the score. Copy: `A fictional design study`. |
| 00:24–00:30 | Clean ivory endcard with complete product silhouette, wordmark, and CTA. Hold all essential text for the full six seconds. | 00:24.2–00:29: “ButtPlugStuhl. BPS—01. Follow the concept.” Then silence. | Final piano note, natural decay. Endcard: `ButtPlugStuhl / BPS—01` · `Follow the concept` · `Fictional industrial-design satire. Concept engineering only.` |

**16:9 adaptation:** Let the object sit just right of centre, with copy in the left third. Use wide interior and mountain compositions to convey scale.

**9:16 adaptation:** Recompose the complete object centrally. Use vertical detail shots instead of cropping away the rim or base. Put the wordmark above the silhouette and CTA below it, clear of platform controls. Keep the same edit duration and voiceover. Burn in speech captions, with disclosure on a separate readable line.

### Film 02 — “Engineering, Explained” · 30 seconds · Unreasonable

**Purpose:** Deadpan fictional engineering presentation. **Delivery:** Matter-of-fact English narrator, approximately 120–130 words per minute in the speech windows. Use original neutral diagram graphics, flat cream background, simple black rules, and a modest institutional chime. No real certification marks or institutional seals.

| Time | Picture and motion | Complete voiceover / silence | Sound and on-screen copy |
|---|---|---|---|
| 00:00–00:04 | Static front view appears beside a title block. After a deliberate half-second pause, a thin arrow points to the whole object. | 00:00–00:00.5 silence; then: “BPS—01. Additional considerations.” | A dry two-note chime. Copy: `CONCEPT ENGINEERING BRIEF 01` and readable `FICTIONAL DESIGN STUDY`. |
| 00:04–00:09 | Seat diameter guide draws on; object rotates only slightly. One label lands with bureaucratic precision. | “The proposed seat diameter is four hundred and forty millimetres.” | Small mechanical click. Copy: `440 mm · Proposed concept dimension`. |
| 00:09–00:14 | A height guide draws from floor to seat; then an exterior-only base detail appears. | “Height: four hundred and eighty. Both numbers are available.” | Another identical click, followed by an awkward half-beat. Copy: `480 mm · Proposed concept dimension`. |
| 00:14–00:20 | A plainly sealed fictional cartridge slides horizontally into view beside the base. Show its exterior only; no internal anatomy, fluids, or operating cycle. | “A fictional closed-loop sanitation module.” Brief pause. “Details remain sealed.” | One polite latch click, then silence. Copy: `SEALED CARTRIDGE CONCEPT` · `Exterior design only. No validated function.` |
| 00:20–00:25 | An empty checklist panel appears with three text lines; none receives a validation checkmark. | “Comfort: an intention. Portability: an intention. Product: fictional.” | Quiet marker squeak for each line. Copy: `Comfort — design intention` / `Portability — design intention` / `Working prototype — none`. |
| 00:25–00:30 | Full object and deadpan endcard. A small line reading `Presentation complete` appears at 00:28. | 00:25.3–00:29.3: “ButtPlugStuhl. Thank you for considering the considerations.” Then silence. | The opening chime repeats. Endcard: `BPS—01` · `Receive further explanations` · `Fictional industrial-design satire. Concept engineering only.` |

**16:9 adaptation:** Product occupies the left half, annotation panel the right. Single-screen diagram layout throughout; every qualification sits next to its number.

**9:16 adaptation:** Stack object over the annotation panel. Replace long guides with close exterior detail cuts; show only the active annotation. Keep `proposed` beside each dimension, and never hide the fictional-module qualification. Split longer voiceover captions across consecutive cards without speeding up speech. Preserve the pauses.

### Film 03 — “Portable, In Principle” · 15 seconds · Unreasonable

**Purpose:** A compact location jump with a dry portability gag. **Delivery:** Calm English narrator, approximately 110–125 words per minute in the speech windows. The object’s imagined move is an obvious hard editorial match cut, with no carrying or lifting claim.

| Time | Picture and motion | Complete voiceover / silence | Sound and on-screen copy |
|---|---|---|---|
| 00:00–00:03 | Amber BPS—01 in a modern concrete-and-glass residence, centred, entire base visible. | “Imagined weight: two point four kilos.” | A delicate piano figure. Copy: `2.4 kg · Imagined, unverified design target` and `FICTIONAL DESIGN STUDY`. |
| 00:03–00:06 | Camera holds perfectly still. A small text label appears below the seat. | “In principle, portable.” | Piano stops. Copy: `Portability is a design intention`. |
| 00:06–00:10 | Abrupt matched cut: identical object and framing now on a broad stable alpine terrace. Hold the tableau. | 00:06–00:06.5 silence; 00:06.5–00:10: “We moved it with an edit.” | A dry editing click at the cut, followed by gentle wind. Copy at 00:08: `Location change: editorial`. |
| 00:10–00:15 | Ivory endcard with studio silhouette. | 00:10.5–00:14.5: “BPS—01. Outside the brief.” Then silence. | A final solitary piano note. Endcard: `ButtPlugStuhl / BPS—01` · `Follow the concept` · `Fictional design study. No working product.` |

**16:9 adaptation:** Match the object’s exact screen position and size in both environments; let the background deliver the change.

**9:16 adaptation:** Create a dedicated vertical interior and alpine pair with identical object proportions. Keep the weight qualification visible for all three seconds of its claim; repeat it in the post description. Stack the five-second endcard without reducing disclosure size.

**Shared production notes:** Record English voiceover with a neutral human cadence, without celebrity imitation. Read `BPS—01` as “B P S zero one.” Use original music or properly licensed production audio. Typeset every number and qualification after image generation. Review the actual recorded timing before rendering; extend holds or shorten copy inside the fixed runtime if needed. Never accelerate narration to fit. Caption every spoken line accurately. Export a clean image master plus separately captioned landscape and vertical delivery files.

## 7. Measurement

These are proposed measurements, not existing results or audience forecasts. Use the first launch week to establish a baseline. Review totals and denominators alongside rates; a handful of actions cannot support a strong creative conclusion.

| KPI | Definition | Practical decision |
|---|---|---|
| Project visit rate | Tracked project-link clicks ÷ impressions for the same post and reporting window | Identify which image or film earns exploration |
| Voice-toggle discovery | Sessions with at least one voice change ÷ measured project sessions | Check whether the dual-voice idea is being found |
| Finish interaction rate | Sessions selecting a different finish ÷ measured project sessions | Identify engagement with the product fiction |
| Interest-registration conversion | New persisted interest records ÷ unique measured landing sessions in the same window | Evaluate project interest; exclude duplicate submissions, which leave existing records unchanged |
| Film completion rate | Full-length views ÷ video starts, using one platform’s consistent definition | Compare the two 30-second films on the same channel |
| Save / share rate | Saves or shares ÷ impressions, reported separately | Distinguish private interest from distribution |
| Fiction comprehension | Count of public comments treating the concept as a purchasable or proven product; report total comments reviewed | Improve disclosure if confusion repeats |

For a directional A/B comparison, keep channel, format, window, and disclosure consistent. Change the headline voice or creative treatment one at a time. Mark any result with fewer than 100 measured visits or starts as exploratory; this is a practical reporting rule, not a statistical-significance claim. Consent-dependent analytics should operate only as implemented by the site. Successful storage is an interest registration, not an email confirmation or delivery. No audience results are claimed by this document.

## 8. Asset naming and handoff

**Delivered filenames:** Preserve the existing lowercase, hyphenated image names:

`[finish]-[scene].png`

Here, `finish` is `clear`, `smoke`, `cobalt`, or `amber`; `scene` is `studio`, `interior`, or `alpine`. All twelve masters are 1448 × 1086 (4:3). The source manifest is `/Users/simonhauser/Schabernack/BPS-assets/images/prompts.json`; the delivered copy source is `/Users/simonhauser/Schabernack/BPS-assets/campaign.md`.

**Future derivative naming:** Use `[finish]-[scene]-[voice]-[ratio]-en-vNN.[ext]` for new social layouts. For example, `clear-studio-design-4x5-en-v01.jpg` or `clear-studio-unreasonable-4x5-en-v01.jpg`. These derivatives have not been delivered.

For future video production, use `bps01-[film]-[status]-[ratio]-en-vNN.[ext]`. Examples: `bps01-prestige-storyboard-16x9-en-v01.pdf`, `bps01-engineering-film-9x16-en-v01.mp4`, and `bps01-engineering-film-9x16-en-v01.srt`. These are proposed names, not existing files.

Retain clean image masters separately from any future text-bearing exports. Extend the source manifest when derivatives are produced, recording finish, scene, voice, dimensions, provenance, and delivery status. A storyboard or script must never be labelled as a rendered film. Handoff status: twelve PNG masters delivered; three film concepts written; the website interest form persists email, finish, and perspective, returns a deletion link, preserves existing records on duplicate submissions, and sends no email.
